The Chairman of the Presidential Committee on Dialogue and
Peaceful Resolution of Security Challenges in the North, Tanimu Turaki, has
submitted
the committee's recommendations to President Goodluck Jonathan.
Turaki, who also doubles as minister for special duties,
handed the report to the president almost after eight months of trying to
dialogue with key members of Boko Haram.
The committee recommended that an advisory committee be
setup to advise the President on all matters relating to dialogue and
resolution of the insurgency in the northern part of the country.
The report also calls for a Victims Support Fund to be made
available for victims of the insurgency.
