Wimbledon champion Andy Murray has practiced on court for
the first time since his back surgery in September.
The 26-year-old posted a picture on his Facebook page with a
caption that read: “Sun is shinning, back on the courts.”
He has yet to decide whether to compete in January at the
Australian Open.
The world number four’s persistent back problem forced him to
pull out of the French Open in May, but recovered in time for the Wimbledon
finals, where he became the first Briton to win the men’s singles title since
Fred Perry since 1936.
He later lost his US Open title defence in the
quarter-finals and has not played since helping Great Britain’s davis Cup team
defeat Croatia to book their spot in the World Gr5oup two months ago.
Murray missed the ATP season finale in London as he was
recuperating from the back surgery.
