A pregnant woman who was in labour and an unidentified man were killed last Saturday by a mad man in Warri, Delta State.
According to report, the pregnant woman, said to be in her early thirties was waiting along the notorious Mac-Dermott Road for a taxi to take her to the hospital, when the suspected lunatic rushed at her and attacked her with a knife.
A young man who wanted to shield the woman from her attacker was stabbed first and died instantly.
The woman was rushed to a nearby hospital but she later gave up the ghost.
It was gathered that people were ‘scared stiff’ of the assailant as he also had other dangerous weapons with him.
The remains of the victims have however, been deposited at a hospital morgue.
