The Kano state government has ordered the state police to arrest any cabbie carrying men and women together in the confined space of the three-wheeled vehicles popularly called 'keke napep'. It also said, the operation 'indecent dressing' in kano state, 'indecent dress' was set up to check indecent dressing among men and women in the state.
Yusuf Yola spokesman for the Hisbah board responsible for ensuring compliance with Sharia law in kano said, 10,000 offices will be deployed to ensure these laws are properly enforced.
It acclaimed that the way commercial tricycle operators engage in indecent dressing and carry men and women together is alarming.
