About 20 Tourists Rescued From Obudu Mountain Resort After Mudslide
Three days of heavy rains provoked a mudslide that led to more than 20 tourists having to be rescued from the top of the Obudu Mountain resort in
Obanliku Local Government Area of Cross River State, Channels reports.
The rescue was conducted between the Nigerian Air Force Augusta 109 from 305 Flying Training School Enugu, Super Puma, and Mi 24 helicopters, after orders were given by the Chief of Air Staff.
According to people on ground the disaster occured after midnight when the rain had been pelting down for hours.
