Kenyan President Declares 3 Days Of Mourning

Kenyan President Uhuru Kenyatta has declared three days of mourning starting from Wednesday for victims of the attack on a Nairobi mall by Islamist militants at the weekend. In a nationally televised speech Tuesday, Mr. Kenyatta said 61 civilians and six soldiers died in the attack at the Westgate shopping centre.

He said five militants have been killed and that Kenyan authorities have 11 suspects in custody. He said his country's losses were "immense" but that justice had prevailed.

"Our head is bloodied but unbowed.

The criminals found us unafraid as we shall ever be. We cannot be conquered."
